The term “Mingei” combines the word “min (民)”, which means the common people, and “gei (芸)”, meaning art. Essentially, Mingei refers to the art of common people. The New Mingei collection by Supermama is a carefully selected range of ceramic wares from different kilns all over Japan. From Minoyaki from Gifu to Tambayaki from Hyogo, we hope to introduce tableware that can elevate our makan (dining) and tabao (takeaway) experience in our home!
